After years of exploring and finding some of Colombia’s inquest places to eat. One of the things that we missed the most was getting off the river and enjoying a burger and a beer. We created a multi-cultural restaurant to satisfy the hunger that ensues after a full day of fun and adventure. Our menu has been built by the founders of Freak’n Creek’n with the help of many river travelers who have stopped in along the way. Enjoy anything from homemade pastas and breads to handmade burgers, you will even find our menu to have many vegetarian and vegan options. We believe that the fresher the ingredients are the better they taste and the better they are for you. This is why almost all of our ingredients come from the mountains of Cocorná. After much experimentation to find the perfect crust we think we think we have found it. Using fine ground flour and fresh spring water we feel that we have reached the ultimate level in pizza crust. We keep our ovens at 500 degrees to insure a crispy yet soft crust. We make our own pizza sauce to achieve maximum flavor we cook it for up to 4 hours with a blend of herbs and spices that are sure to delight. We were once told that “the best pizzas are made with cheese” and we could agree more that is way we import our cheese. Using only the best cheese to make pizza Mozzarella, Provolone, Cheddar, and Parmesan.
When I was 12 I started to really enjoy food on a deep level. I was interested in where the food came from, how it was made, how putting something in the oven would make it into something completely different. I needed to know more, So I started asking my brother in-law who is the best chef I know, how to cook. Pasta is the first thing that I learned to make on my own. I still have the same love for it know as I did then. I love making different pastas and creating new sauce. I hope you too will enjoy our pastas as I do. We use only the freshest ingredients to make our homemade pastas.
There is absolutely nothing better than indulging in a burger and a beer after a day of adventure. That is why we make 100% beef burgers served fresh crispy lettuce, Vine ripened tomatoes, zesty onions, crunching dill pickles and of course melted gooey cheddar cheese. We hand cut our fries and fry them till they are crispy and golden.
